Membrane Switch Keypad, known as membrane keypad, membrane switch, keyboard membrane switch, which is an electrical switch for turning a circuit on and off. Membrane switch is thinner and softer than normal rubber keypad, usually applied in LED screen for outdoor and indoor advertising LED Screen and assembly with transparent PMMA/Acrylic panel to display the screen datas. Most of membrane switches also make backing 3M adhesive button pads to stick with plastic assembly parts, they are user-equipment interface utilities that allow for the communication of commands from users to electronic devices.

Outdoor use membrane switch keypad key usually need to be waterproof, weather resistance and UV-resistance etc., thus when we evaluate such rubber keypad, not only need to know its application environment, but also need to analysis the product's structure combine with plastic assembly parts.
When assembly transparent PMMA/Acrylic panel/plate to the membrane switch keypad, need to reserve an entire inner edge undercut/gap structure design to fix the PMMA/Acrylic panel/plate with keyboard membrane switch, otherwise the membrane switch keypad will not have place to be positioned&fixed.
PMMA/Acrylic Panel Membrane Switch Keypad Manufacturing Process
First Step: Molding the black good quality UV-resistance silicone base
Second Step: Silkscreen print the white symbol&characters
Third Step: Clean the membrane switch keypad then spraying the protective coating to prevent the surface legends/texts from wearing off.
Forth Step: Clean the area where the keyboard membrane switch need to be attached with double-side taped with toluene or other clean treament agent. Then bond the 3M adhesive on the membrane switch back side or front side according to the application requirements.
Fifth Step: Assembly the tranparent PMMA/Acrylic panel/plate with membrane switch keypad for LED use.
